Hola! Que Pasa?
I got a new companion this week! She is from Tahiti and just barely got surgery on her foot. She has not been able to walk on it at all for the past couple of weeks. However this week we went back to her surgeon for a checkup and we found out she can walk again! The joy on her face was indescribable. I had the life-changing opportunity to be her crutch as she took her first few steps after surgery. Every day is different but she still struggles a lot with intense headaches and nausea. We miss class quite a bit but the amazing sisters in my zone take turns staying back with her too.

The spirit is so strong every time we meet with Anna our fabulous investigator. We have been preparing her for the past three weeks to “walk on her own” too! However, not physically but spiritually. She gets baptized tomorrow and there are no words to describe the feelings of gratitude and love in my heart. She is the most precious daughter of God. She is nervous to make this huge change in her life but she feels so much happiness and peace. She knows that she is making the right decision. I have loved seeing her accept the gospel and witness all the blessings that come when we follow Christ. I know that we will be closest of friends for many years to come.
I got my travel plans yesterday and I leave in ten days to Florida!!! I have mixed emotions about leaving... I’m super excited to eat real food! I’m super excited to meet my mission presidents and meet the amazing people of Florida. However, I have no clue how I’m going to say goodbye to all the amazing friends I have met here in the MTC. Some of my favorite people are the “Frenchies!” (All the missionaries who are learning French) They are all super outgoing and every time we see them we scream at the top of our lungs “Allons-y!!!” This means let’s gooo! We have also become amazing friends with the “Tagalogs.” (All the missionaries who are speaking Tagalog) We play volleyball with them during gym time and this past week I hit an amazing spike. I honestly didn’t know I could do that! Anyway, I have become great friends with people from all around the world including West Africa, Thailand, and England! They all are such amazing examples to me of Christ-like love and service.
