WEEK 13 "Garage Sales"

The main subject that I have been studying this week is charity and compassion.  I have loved realizing and understanding the power in the Atonement as I have done so. Charity is how Christ healed the blind, rose the dead from the grave, and ultimately saved us all from sin.  It is truly the noblest character of Christ.  And I strive to develop deeper charity each day.

It was not a coincidence that I was inspired to study this topic because we came across a lady yesterday who was so beyond prepared to hear our message it was incredible.  She had been praying to God that day to know what church was true.  She felt like God was telling her to find a book and read it.  As she was walking away from the garage sale we contacted her.  She immediately let us in her home to share a message.  As we told her about the Book of Mormon she lit up and told us that this was the book that God wanted her to have in her life…not the books from the garage sale.  She knew that we were an answer to her prayers.  She went on to tell us how she wants to understand and develop compassion better.  And I knew exactly through the spirit which chapter God wanted her to read.  3 Nephi 17!!  This was such a confirming testimony to me that this is His work.  We are His servants and nothing is ever a coincidence with God.  I love the happiness and joy that comes through serving Him and His children.  I am so honored and grateful to be here each day.

I don't have much time today but I love you all!
