WEEK 48 "HIALEAH OR HAVANA?"

Hola Fam!!!! Happy New Year

Last night we got transfers calls and GUESS what I am going to Hialeah wahoo!! It is only one zone north of us and my new companion will be Sister Ward. I am sooo excited! She is on her fourth transfer and my dearest friend sister Bench trained her!

The only thing that I know about Hialeah is that sometimes missionaries go up to Cubans and they ask, "What is the capital of Cuban." and they say duh Havana but then the missionaries respond well I thought it was Hialeah. And they bust up laughing. SO to say the least I couldn't be more excited to see a different part of the hood and hang out with my favorite people!

One of the highlights this week was going to the temple with Yohendris!!! it was such a special event that I will never forget. The spirit is truly so strong and as we entered Yohendris and other members that were with us turned to me and told me that they could feel a physical lightening of their burdens. I know that this is true because as we enter into the house of God we leave behind our terrestrial problems and we truly enter into a glimpse of what it feels to experience the celestial kingdom.

This past week I finished the Book of Mormon all the way through again and my heart is full of gratitude to my Savior for allowing us to have another testament of Him. I know that this work is directed by Him and that the Book of Mormon is crucial for the gathering of the 12 lost tribes preparatory for the second coming. Reading the Book of Mormon this time has truly had an influence on who I am becoming as a disciple of Christ. Each day as I feel the spirit enter into my life I feel my very being changing. I love this gospel and I know that it is the path that God has given to us to feel the deepest Joy in this life and return home to Him.

Love you all so much!!!

ps the weirdest thing that happened to us this week was that we saw a random man on the side of the street lassoing a tire pressure rope at a gas station. I think he was trying to lasso cars driving by. Just another day in the life of Miami where almost everyone has some type of mental problem. It's sooo sad
